  • Spring 2014 - Meet with Biard and start to disucss opportunities for capital projects in the future
  • Fall 2014 - Bray Architects is selected to be the Facility Study facilitator
  • November 2015 - Facility study completed
  • December 2015 - Facility Study Shared with Committee and Board of Education
  • September 2015 - District hires Bill Foster and School Perceptions to develop and conduct a facilities survey
  • October 2015 - April 2016 - Committee works with School Perceptions and Bray to develop long range facility plan, survey and possible referendum plan 
  • April 2016– Aaron and Bill Foster discuss progress of first draft 
  • Early April 2016 – Survey Subcommittee meets to discuss survey 
  • Early May 2016 – Full Committee meets to discuss survey and plan survey distribution strategy 
  • Summer 2016 – Finalization of survey and construction of District Comprehensive Facility Plan 
  • August 2016 - Share Survey and Facility Planning Information with Staff
  • September 2016 - Survey Finalized
  • October 2016 – Survey Distributed 
  • November 2016 – Data from survey shared with Board of Education and Committee - Board Approves Contract with Bray Architects as lead designer and referendum support
  • December 2016 – Facility Committee Meets and Decides to recommend going to referendum (2 questions) 
  • January 2017 - Board of Education Approves 2 Questions for on the April 4th election
  • February - April 2017 – Sharing sessions and information distributed 
  • April 2017 – Referendum question(s) on election ballot 
  • April 2017 and beyond – implement District Comprehensive Facility Plan

Stage #1 Collect Information (Fall 2014 – February 27th, 2015)

Stage #2 Committee Formation and Learning Sessions (March and April 2015)

  • Meet 3-5 times to discuss results of Bray study, staff input and community input
  • Community Listening Sessions – To Be Developed
    • 3-5 Questions (Good about our District/Needs of our District/Priorities of our District/etc.)
  • Develop community survey and informational/communication materials and procedures
  • Learn session(s) on budgeting and future finances of the District
  • Initiate Community Survey and Collect Results
  • Create and Build Information Website

 

Stage #3 – Developing Plan(s) and Community Survey (May 2015 – November 2016)

  • Develop and distribute all district survey on community expectations and needs from district
  • Take all the information – Facilities/Staff/Community develop option(s) and long range master plan.
  • Visit and inquire with other districts
  • Create and Build Information Website

Stage #4 – Finalization of Master Plan - Develop possible Referendum Questions (November 2016 – January 2017)

  • Present Findings and plan(s) to the Board of Education – August Board Meeting
  • Develop, send and compile final community survey
  • Develop final long range facility plan and any possible budgetary questions
  • Create and Build Information Website

 

Stage #5 – Implement Plan (January 2017 and beyond)

  • If necessary or advisable develop and implement referendum plan and financial options
  • If a referendum is to take place to help implement the long range facilities plan, the soonest recommended date of the referendum would be November 2016 (presidential election)
  • Create and Build Information Website
